Meet Amanda - Certified Feline Master Groomer

I’m Amanda, founder of Meowtasia and one of Nova Scotia’s first Certified Feline Master Groomers. My passion is helping cats feel safe, understood, and beautifully cared for. I’ve dedicated my training to feline‑specific grooming, behaviour, and handling because cats aren’t small dogs they deserve grooming designed just for them.
 

I completed my professional education at The Apex Academy in Saskatchewan, training under a Certified Feline Master Groomer and later earning that same title myself after extensive study and nine rigorous exams. This certification reflects my commitment to the highest standards of feline safety, handling, and coat care.

 

My mission is simple: to make professional cat grooming accessible, gentle, and stress‑free for cat owners across Nova Scotia.

We follow a low‑stress, cat‑centered approach that respects feline boundaries and emotional needs. Every groom is done at the cat’s pace, using gentle handling, quiet tools, and a calm presence. As a CFMG, I uphold the standards required to maintain my certification.

Grooming in the Comfort of Your Home

We groom right in your home - usually in a bathroom for easy cleanup and sanitation. This keeps your cat in a familiar environment, reduces stress, and allows us to work safely and efficiently. We bring everything needed for a full, professional groom.
